Your Debt Review repayments over the Festive Season

Your Debt Review repayments over the Festive Season

The year is drawing to an end, and in a couple of weeks most of us will be enjoying some well-deserved time off with close friends and family members. Considering COVID pulled the handbrake up on festivities across the country last year, it’s been almost two years since most of us had a proper summer vacation. Fingers crossed we get through this period unscathed by further lockdowns.

The only downside about the December holidays is navigating all the bills that suddenly arrive in January (especially if you get paid early in December). Please remember that your Debt Review payment is due at the same time every month and if you are getting paid early in December, you need to reach out to us so we can reschedule the debit order lodged against your bank account.

Failing to meet your Debt Review repayments in December and January means you will fall behind, and unlike insurance companies who might be willing to offer you a “payment holiday” your creditors’ are not up for negotiating.

We understand managing your cash flow over the festive period can be tricky, but it’s also important to realize that you only get one shot with your Debt Review case. If you fall behind on your repayments, your creditors are well within their rights to cancel the new terms we have in place and then it’s back to square one (old terms with high-interest rates and no reprieve).

Remember you can always reach out to us.

Kind Regards
